Question by himmy: 2002 ford f250 diesel chipped?
i just bought a 2002 ford f250 7.3 diesel well there is a badge on the side of the truck with the edge products but nothing inside the truck looks like there was a montier there , so is the truck stock and the owner before just took the chip out and left the badge there, i dont think the truck is chipped anymore due to it will not blow smoke(i hear chips will make a diesel do that pretty good) and the gas mileage is around 15 around the city which if it was chipped it would get somewhat better then that so is it chipped still ? and will i be fine to buy a edge juice (plan on putting that in there) and put it in there without damageing anything

Would it be safe to use a programmer on a vehicle that has high mileage? My 1997 f250 has a near 200k miles on it and it runs fine. will using a programmer such as superchips, hypertech, Edge etc. be harmful to my truck?
