if i install an edge diesel programmer in my 2001 F350 7.3L i have been told that i could potentially ruin my trans. what could i do to elievate the problem and strengthin my trans

Here are a few things you can do to prevent this. First you need to up grade your torque converter to handle all the extra HP and Heat. Second an extra deep transmission oil pan. Third a good trans cooler with fan. Forth an inline oil filter and temp gauge so you can see the heat you tranny is making and you will know when to give it a break. Fith full syntec tranny oil. Remeber this is a truck designed to pull heavy loads from a dead stop not a drag truck those are the one who screw their trannys up.
