Does anyone know what tuners can disable the egr on a 04 jetta tdi?
there isn’t an 06.5 chip available that we are aware of anymore. Van aaken went out of business. We carry some other brands now that hook up the exact same as in this video, but not for the 06.5
Where do you find a chip for 06.5 TDI? The Parleys site says that they don’t have any…
If it still works, and you’re getting the right one for your vehicle. There’s 4 different groups for van aaken modules. One for the 94- early 98 tdi, with 8 pin connector. One for 98.5-03 tdi’s, one for 04-early 06 tdi’s, and one for 06.5 tdi’s built after april first of 06. Good luck.

They changed to the PD here in the states in 2004
Just out of curiosity. You mentioned that the Golf in the video is a 2002. I just find it odd that it isn’t a Pumpe Duse engine as over here in the uk all 2001 model VW TDi’s are PD
Manufacturers are supposedly working on modules for the new tdi’s, we don’t have any release dates yet though.

It gives about 26 hp on the PD engine versus about 20 on the non PD engine.
does this chip have more of a impact on the TDI or the PD-TDI ? or both about the same?

We have been using these tdi performance modules for years.
This module does not just dump more fuel. It changes fuel line pressure which makes it so you get a better spray of the fuel from the injector, it also changes slightly when the fuel gets injected. All to make the engine run more efficiently, that’s why you get fuel economy gains as well. There are chips out there for the trucks that just dump fuel and that’s not bad either. They get huge power that way, but fuel economy goes down the tube. They use those on drag trucks and sled puller trucks.
Hey, this whole thing sounds fishy, so I’ve got a question, from the site:

Does that mean this “device” just dumps more fuel into the engine? If so, it can’t be good for the engine, please reply.

OK Dieselpower has a system for the 09 do you have experience with those?
BD Power makes it. We are still waiting on the 09 stuff. We have been hounding manufacturers because there is plenty demand for the parts.
Who makes the BD X unit? I have a 2003 Jetta TDI and my wife just got the 2009 Jetta TDI Do you have something for that?
Van Aaken is out of business. We don’t sell their products anymore, we do carry instead the BD X-power module. It gives the same power increase and installs the exact same way. We kept the video because it’s still the same for it. If you follow the top link in our videos description, it will take you to the bd modules page on our website. They warranty the parts.
What about the warranty available on these units? I thought that Van aaken was out of business… I like the ease of install but worry that if the unit fails how would I get a replacement. Thank You
Seems great but I thought Van aaken was out of business. How does that work in case of warranty issues with the boxes? I like the fact that the install is easy though.
