Question by Marcus L: Diesel Performance Chips and Accessories?
I am looking to buy some stuff to improve my ’01 Dodge Ram 2500 with the 5.9 24v Cummins. And i am still in high school working parting time jobs, so my income isn’t huge. I wasn’t looking to enter it into any tractor pulls but i would like the ability to have more power when I’m pulling trailers and whatnot and I would also like to get better fuel economy. I’ve heard i can get both with out having to buy two modules. I was wondering what would be a good brand/product to buy. i know about Banks and Bully Dog but i don’t really know where to begin when it comes to actual product comparison. Any help is appreciated.

In general, diesels engine ECUs can be remapped pretty cheaply, and this improves BOTH your mileage AND the power the engine produces.

You’ll just need to find a local tuning company and ask them if they do ECU remapping.
