I have seen several advertisements and notes on Diesel chip tuning – which they say is easy to install electronic card which will increase the power of a diesel car. For example on a Suzuki Swift 1.3l DDiS car having 75 BHP and 190 Nm they claim minimum increase on same driving condition is 87 BHP to 94 BHP and 210 Nm to 240 Nm. Is it really true. If so why didn’t the original software give these power settings? Is it another internet fraud ?

The “Hot rod industry” has always led the way for the manufactures.
If the car manufactures put the new chips on the first new cars then what would they do the next year?

there are ECU remaps (chips) out there that do work, and work well (in the UK we have http://www.superchips.co.uk). the reason cars don’t come with these settings factory fitted is because manufacturers have guidelines to follow (emissions etc) and with a chip, cars can fall just outside these guidelines.
not all chips improve gas mileage. often more fuel is injected to produce more power, thus, less mpg. some do offer fuel benefits however, it really depends what you want.
if you are looking into getting your car remapped, do some research. dont buy anything off ebay, as the chips on there are usually just a resistor, and you would have been better investing in some magic beans.
