where did you get the chip from? Is the smoke from the chip?
Thats one nice sounding 6.5. I hope I could get mine to sound like that some day.

it starts right after the downpipe, i bought the pipe welded it together n put it on in my garage
Is that really a 5in exhaust? where does the 5in pipe start after the turbo? did you install it yourself?
is it a big difference or no i have the exhaust and the pyro gauges but i dont know if the chip is worth the money so does it give a good hp bump do you notice it?

@Jay500500500 Your making close to 400hp and 720ftlbs out of a 6.5? What kinda mods have you done? Do you have a video?
My dad’s 6.5 is pushing 425-450 horse. It’s been bored out, Marine injectors, 80 hp chip, dual thermostat housing, and some other things. It’s a great truck.
redneckmarine17, you completely right. my 6.5 is still just a single turbo design, but with mods that the Ford’s and Dodge’s had when stock, such as compression, are done to a 6.5 it is the best out of the three. The actual engine block is more durable, which is one reason why the military still buys these engine. My engine makes 395 hp and 720 torque, which is just as good as Ford’s new ‘Scorpion’ diesel or the new LML duramax and better than the Cummins. 225,000 miles on it, too.

For this only being a 6.5td this this soot’s pretty good any future mods to come? Marine injectors, turbo? I know a lot of ppl talk smack about the 6.5 but I believe you can make decent power out of it still if you invest a lil money into it.
How is it as a daily driver?
I found a 1997 3500 with 180,000 miles on it for a decent deal. It would be my daily driver as well as towing every now and then.

whats the exact name of products you used
I just got the ssdiesel air intake on my truck and the turbo whistles like freaking crazy!!! I haven’t even got on it with the pedal all the way down but its running beautifully.
it works good but i need a different filter set up
well i dont really know cuz ive never checked it but it definitly has more power
how is that working for you? One guy said he oly got 20hp from the 80HP chip
yes it is
not really its the straight pipe really lets you here the whistle but if you want smoke you gotta put a chip in it.
